Rescue 59 and Medic 59-7A responded to a report of a Motor Vehicle Accident in the 200 block of Brinton Lake Road in Concord Township. Rescue and Medic 59 arrived on location to find a single vehicle rollover accident. The vehicle had left the roadway landing on its roof in a small waterway where the vehicle subsequently caught fire.
The occupant self extricated themselves from the vehicle prior to Fire Department arrival.
While the EMS crew from Medic 59-7A assessed the driver for injuries, the crew from Rescue 59 extinguished the fire and stabilized the vehicle. Due to fluids leaking from the vehicle, several haz-mat pads were placed in a small stream to prevent contamination of the waterway. Pa. Department of Environmental Protection was notified of the incident. Crews remained on scene until the vehicle was removed from the stream.
